Batanai Matsika
Batanai Matsika has more than 10 years’ experience in equities research and mainstream investment banking in Sub-Saharan Africa (including South Africa). He has worked for local and regional finance and investment banking houses including Imara Africa Securities, Sanlam, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI) and Akribos Capital. He has also consulted for Nova Capital Africa Analytics (USA), Hamilcar Capital (UK) and Mackie Research Capital Corporation (Canada).
Batanai is a thought leader and columnist for Business Times, Zimbabwean Independent and Financial Gazette. He has appeared on business and financial TV shows including CNBC Africa, Business Day TV and China Global Television Network (CGTN).
He holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies (Finance & Banking) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Treasury Management from the University of Zimbabwe. He is currently working on an MSc in Corporate Finance & Investment Management. Batanai Matsika is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers and Member of the Institute of Business Advisors in Southern Africa (IBASA)
